Concept Design Guidelines launched online

The Concept Design Guidelines for Water Sensitive Urban Design were developed to assist urban design professionals conceptualise and develop design solutions that integrate best-practice urban water management into urban developments.

The guidelines are relevant to all scales of urban planning and design, from whole-of-city planning to new master-planned communities and urban infill.

The design concepts cover disciplines and considerations required at each stage of the conceptual design process, best management practices, best planning practices and relevant strategic and statutory planning considerations.

The guidelines also incorporate case studies that provide good examples of how water sensitive urban design can be delivered in a range of urban environments.

A two-day course supports the guidelines to increase knowledge and skills in the conceptualisation and development of design solutions.
